Registration Opens for the 2026 Western Ontario Municipal Conference in Guelph
Western Ontario – Registration is now open for the 2026 Western Ontario Municipal Conference (WOMC), taking place October 16, 2026 at the Delta Guelph Conference Centre in Guelph.
Presented by the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (WOWC) and sponsored by Enbridge and Bruce Power, the annual conference brings together municipal leaders, staff, sector experts and government partners from across Ontario to discuss the issues shaping communities today and into the future.
With municipalities continuing to navigate housing pressures, infrastructure demands, economic uncertainty, workforce challenges, and evolving community expectations, WOMC has become an important space for municipal collaboration, practical discussion, and relationship building across the sector.
This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker the Hon. Bob Rae, alongside a full day of programming focused on municipal leadership, emerging priorities, and opportunities facing communities across Western Ontario.
Following a sold out conference in 2025, organizers are encouraging attendees to register early for this year’s event.
“Municipalities are facing increasingly complex challenges, but they are also driving innovation and collaboration in communities across Ontario,” said Andrea Matrosovs, Warden of Grey County and Chair of the 2026 Western Ontario Municipal Conference. “WOMC creates an opportunity for people from across the sector to come together, share perspectives, and have meaningful conversations about the future of our communities.”
“The strength of WOMC is the opportunity it creates for connection,” said WOWC Chair Marcus Ryan. “Whether it’s elected officials, municipal staff, industry partners, or government representatives, the conference brings together people who are all working toward strong, resilient communities. Those conversations and relationships matter.”
WOMC is designed for a broad audience including elected officials, municipal administrators, planners, economic development professionals, social services leaders, municipal service providers, and provincial and federal partners.
Conference activities will begin with a Welcome Reception on Thursday, October 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Delta Guelph Conference Centre, offering attendees an opportunity to connect ahead of the main conference day.
Early Bird Conference Passes are available until August 31 for $275. Full Conference Passes are $350.
